Recent Insights to Prepare High-Quality Perovskite Nanocrystals via “Green” and Ecofriendly Solvents and Capping Agents

The synthesis of halide perovskite nanocrystals (PNCs) with mesmerizing photophysical properties has allowed for the fast development efficient optoelectronic and photovoltaic devices, as well making them ideal photocatalysts solar-driven chemical reactions. However, use traditional oleic acid/oleylamine low binding energy introduction some phosphine- sulfur-based ligands generate emergence highly defective PNCs poor stability, quenching their PL features, increase in toxicity final product. In this review, we will show prominent “green” ecofriendly solvents capping capability to enhance quality by suppressing structural defects. By introducing promising agents such biogenic species extracted from natural sources, it is possible favor radiative recombination dynamics into perovskite, being beneficial device performance. Novel passivation alternatives or synthetic routes are highlighted contribution, giving a deeper understanding control surface chemistry through ligand engineering prolong stability nanocrystals.
